I am an incoming student to Delaware State University. How soon can I login to Accommodate and request accommodations?

You can login to Accommodate and register with the CDR as soon as you have been offered admission to Delaware State University and have officially accepted the University’s offer to attend. As soon as this happens, you are encouraged to complete the online registration process by completing the Request for Accommodations Form, submitting medical documentation, and scheduling an appointment with the CDR.

How do I login to Accommodate?

Any person attempting to login to Accommodate should use their Delaware State University Single sign-in credentials. Please note that these are the same username and password credentials that are used to sign into your DESU email.

I have documentation that I am now ready to submit. How can I upload the documentation to my Accommodate profile?

  1.  Login to Accommodate.
  2. Click “Accommodation” on the left side of the screen.
    • Click “My Documents” from the picklist.
  3. Select “Add New Accessibility Document.”
  4. Please add a title for your document and upload the file.
    • Note: We can only accept files in .pdf, .jpeg/jpg, .png, .doc, .docx formats.

I have a question or concern. How do I request an appointment with the CDR?

  1. Login to Accommodate.
  2. Click “Make an Appointment” on the left side of the screen.
    • Click “Request New Appointment” from the picklist.
  3. When selecting type of appointment, please select “Student Q & A Meeting.”
    • Click “Done.”
    • Click “Check Availability.”
  4. Select the day and time that works best with your schedule.
  5. Answer the questions in the “Appointment Request Details” tab.
  6. Click Submit Request.
    • Note: Once your request is received, a CDR representative will review your request and follow-up accordingly

I’m thinking about registering with the CDR but have some questions. How can I request an appointment to receive some additional information?

Please make an appointment with us via the Accommodate system. To do so, please follow the below steps:

  1. Login to Accommodate.
  2. Click “Make an Appointment” on the left side of the screen.
    • Click “Request New Appointment” from the picklist.
  3. When selecting type of appointment, please select “Student Q & A Meeting.”
    • Click “Done.”
    • Click “Check Availability.
  4. Select the day and time that works best with your schedule.
  5. Answer the questions in the “Appointment Request Details” tab.
  6. Click Submit Request.
    • Note: Once your request is received, a CDR representative will review your request and follow-up accordingly

How do I renew my accommodations for the semester?

To renew your accommodations, please follow the below process:

  1. Login to Accommodate.
  2. Click “Accommodation” on the left side of the screen.
    • Click “Renew Accommodation Letter” from the list.
  3. Click “Add New”, followed by “review accommodations”
  4. Click “Save and Close”
  5. A CDR representative will review your renewal request and will follow-up with you via email within three business days.

I am a campus guest who would like to request accommodations. How do I request accommodations?

Welcome to our campus! There is a separate registration process for campus guests who would like to request accommodations. Please follow the registration process outlined in the Campus Guests with Disabilities section of our website.

I have an accommodation to receive my materials in accessible format. How can I request my materials?

Note: You must complete your semester request and have received your Accommodation Letter to view this feature in Accommodate.

Once you have received your Accommodation Letter, please follow the outlined steps below:

  1. Login to Accommodate.
  2. Click “Accommodation” on the left side of the screen.
    • Click on “Alternative Format.”
  3. Click on “Manual Request” followed by “Add New Alternative Format Request.”
  4. Complete the Alternative Format Request form.
  5. Click “Save and Close.”
  6. Once your request is received, it will be reviewed by a CDR representative
