FALL 2022 HOUSING APPLICATION NEW STUDENT

Housing application process starts March 16 for new and transfer students

Apply for Fall 2022 housing in 3 simple steps!

  1. PAY $200 NON-REFUNDABLE HOUSING DEPOSIT:
    • Pay a non-refundable housing deposit (log in as a guest)
    • Choose “Fall 2022” and click “Pay $200” for “Traditional Housing Deposit”
    • Traditional non-refundable housing deposit covers: Evers, Jenkins, Tubman Laws and Wynder Towers (Honor’s Hall, must be accepted into Honor’s Program).
      NOTE: Deposit must be paid to receive application link and takes a minimum of 24-48 hours to roll over to our system. To submit your app on opening day, plan to pay your deposit no later than March 12.
  2. RECEIVE LINK TO ONLINE APPLICATION IN YOUR DSU EMAIL ACCOUNT:
    • 24-48 business hours after deposit is paid, you will receive a Welcome email.
    • Follow the instructions and the link will take you to the online housing application.
  3. CHOOSE A RESIDENCE HALL AND MEAL PLAN:
    • Choose a residence hall, meal plan and if you’d like, a roommate request (name and D100# of student required)
      NOTE: Roommate requests are not guaranteed, but we will attempt to accommodate you
    • Freshmen Halls (coed): Evers, Jenkins, Tubman Laws and Wynder Towers (Honor’s hall—must be accepted into Honor’s Program).
    • Meal Plan is mandatory for all students living on campus and runs from Sunday-Saturday (7 days)
    • 19 Meal Plan per week + $200 Flex Dollars/semester - 19 meals throughout a 7-day period
    • 200 Meal block + $225 Flex Dollars/semester - 200 meal swipes throughout the semester
    • 125 block meals + $150 Flex Dollars/semester - 125 meal swipes throughout the semester
      NOTE: Flex dollars can be spent at any food service area on campus that’s not the cafeteria by swiping ID card
  4. WATCH DSU EMAIL FOR ASSIGNMENT INFORMATION:
    • Please be patient—the Housing Dept. works on assignments during the spring and summer months. Once you receive your assignment, it will contain building, room # and roommate info (if applicable).
      NOTE: We assign on a “first come, first serve” basis (date and time of application submittal), not by deposit date. If all spaces are assigned when we get to your application, your name will be placed on a stand-by list. If a space becomes open and you are next on the list, you will be sent your assignment info. Housing is not guaranteed.
