Terry L. Bankston, Director
Tamika Lee, Career Coach
Serving the students in the College of Humanities, Education & Social Sciences (CHESS) and the Wesley College of Health & Behavioral Sciences (WCHBS).
Specializing in career counseling, resume writing, mock interviewing, job search strategies, career fair organizer, employer relations and graduate school preparation
Ms. Tamika Lee has a Master’s Degree in Behavioral and Social Science. She has extensive experience in college advising and outreach. She comes to us from Trinity Washington University where she served as the Academic Advisor. Prior to her move to higher education she served as the College Preparatory Advisor at College Success Foundation (CSF). She is the founder and CEO of Be B.O.L.D., Inc., a non-profit mentoring organization for at risk girls ages 8 – 18. In this capacity, she has developed a 12-month curriculum with lessons to promote student success.
Adrienne Clarke, Student Employee Coordinator
Responsible for posting jobs on campus through Handshake, assisting students with campus job searches, processing student employment paperwork, facilitating student employment orientations and training campus supervisors to use Handshake.
Mrs. Adrienne Clarke joined Delaware State University on June 2017 in the Student Employment Office as the Student Employee Coordinator. A native of Tidewater, VA and a graduate of Norfolk State University with a Bachelors in Fashion Merchandising. Fashion was a love and passion for Mrs. Clarke, however she eventually moved to Maryland to attend Bowie State University to complete a Master’s in Human Resources Development. While working on finishing her degree, she also taught Fashion Design and Interior Design for PG County Public School for four years. Human Resources then became her focus and eventually she had to move on and work for Kaiser Permanente. Mrs. Clarke worked for Kaiser Permanente Mid-Atlantic Non-profit Health Care organization for five years gaining HR experience and Customer service skills. In 2014 and 2015 Ms. Clarke married and had her first child. She decided to stay home until her child was one year of age.
Jacqueline C. Hendy, Administrative Secretary
Jacqueline Hendy joined Delaware State University in March 2016 and has over 20 years of vast customer service in major companies, such as Moody’s Investors, Verizon Corporation, and American Express. Jacqueline was born and raised in Gastonia, North Carolina but was reared and educated in New York City. She earned her Bachelors of Business Administration in Marketing from Bernard Baruch College in 1998. Prior to joining Delaware State University, Mrs. Hendy worked as a front desk receptionist for Pure Wellness Chiropractor and a Lounge Host for Dover Downs Hotel & Casino. She relocated from New York to Delaware in 2008 with her husband and 2 children.
