Profiles in giving alumni5

Our donors, like our students, come to us from all walks of life and many from humble beginnings. Our donors are some of the most important stakeholders we have at the University- they are  volunteers, alumni, parents, and individuals who understand that equity in education has been at the cornerstone of Delaware State University since our inception in 1891.

Our first of many donor profiles come from Janet Tillman & Richard Speck, a couple from the Wilmington area who have generously created an Endowed Scholarship Fund at DSU and plan to make a Bequest gift to the University. You can read their story here.

We are currently collecting stories from our donors to feature in this brand new “Profiles in Giving” section. We encourage you to reach out and tell us your DSU story- contact our Director of Major Gifts, Justin Rodstrom at 302-242-2784 or jrodstrom [at] desu.edu so we can feature your story in our next donor profile.

DSU Giving Societies & Circles alumni16

We are eternally grateful to the donors who have built a legacy here at Delaware State University through a lifetime of commitment and support. Our Giving Societies & Circles reflect donors who have  achieved the highest level of impact to our University over their lifetime of giving. These groups are currently being defined by the Institutional Advancement team and we hope to re-launch these Societies & Circles in the near future.

Giving Society & Circle members will receive not only the pride of making a lasting impact, they will likely be invited to exclusive Society & Circle events throughout the year and have a variety of opportunities to interact with the students whose lives they have forever changed. A full listing of Giving Society & Circle benefits will be available in our DSU Giving Societies & Circles Brochure.

Heritage Newsletter

The Delaware State University Foundation publishes the Heritage Newsletter as a way to keep our donors informed and engaged with the University throughout the year. We are currently working to revive this important tradition, and we encourage our donors to remain in touch with us as we rekindle this tradition later this year.
