Mister Delaware State University Raphael Jason-Morgan

Born on March 5, 1996, Raphael Jason-Morgan was raised by a single mother, Helen Jason.

Hailing from Harlem, New York, Raphael overcame several bouts of adversity but would seek opportunities toward becoming a professional basketball player.

However, due to unfortunate injuries, Raphael soon realized that his career path would go in a different direction.

He discovered his passion for creating opportunities for other individuals with similar injuries in hopes of helping them to achieve their goals and dreams.

With a brand new mentality, Raphael Jason-Morgan enrolled at Delaware State University majoring in Kinesiology with a concentration in Pre-Health.

Having obtained the honors of President’s List, Dean’s List, and several Academic Achievement awards during his matriculation, Raphael continues to push his close friends and colleagues to reach for new academic heights.

Along with his academic accolades, this year, Raphael has been granted the opportunity to complete internships in physical therapy rehabilitation at Premier Physical Therapy and NovaCare Rehabilitation.

Although Raphael has proven to be a leader from an academic perspective, he has also invested his time and effort in service for the Delaware community. Specifically, he has volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, Food Bank of Delaware and the Boys and Girls Club to name a few. Additionally, Raphael has created programs to uplift the student body and hosted multiple student events. Most notably, he is the man behind creating #4 of the DSU Slide.

Upon graduation, Raphael plans to pursue a Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy. Overall, he plans to leave his legacy as a versatile student who balanced being a leader, while engaging in social and professional pursuits.

The platform that Raphael will implement throughout his reign is: WAVE….WE ARE VISIONARIES EXCELLING.

The motto that he lives by is “Work Like You’re Last, Even When You’re First.”
