DSU Fraternities and Sororities Display Banners

Delaware State University’s authorized fraternities and sororities will all be represented in the student’s main gathering place, as for the first time those organizations will be permitted to hang their banners in the Martin Luther King Jr. Student Center.

DSU Office of Student Affairs highlighted the decision by holding a Jan. 11 event in the MLK Student Center to celebrate the fraternities and sororities on campus.

The Divine Nine fraternities and sororities of DSU are:

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.

Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.

Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.

Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc.

The other authorized Del State Council of Independent Organizations fraternities, sororities and groups are:

Alpha Nu Omega Sorority, Inc.

Alpha Nu Omega Fraternity, Inc.

Swing Phi Swing Social Fellowship, Inc.

Groove Phi Groove Social Fellowship, Inc.

Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity of America, Inc.

It is the first time since the institution opened its first student center in 1968 that Del State has allowed the display of fraternity and sorority banners in that building.
