Two Honor Societies induct new DSU members.

Ceremonies were recently held to honor the DSU inductees for the 2026 Upsilon Pi Chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha National Political Science Honor Society and the Delaware Alpha Chapter of Chi Sigma Alpha National Athlete Honor Society.

A ceremony was held for the eight Upsilon Pi Chapter on April 14 in the Education and Humanities Building. The chapter was chartered in 1995 as the first PSA chapter in Delaware. The Co-Advisors are Dr. Sam Hoff, Dr. Akwasi Osei, and Dr. Ifeyinwa Udezulu. Some of the 79 inductees of the Del. Alpha Chapter of Chi Sigma Alpha National Athletic Honor Society proudly show certificates.

During the April 29 Spring Athletics Banquet held in the MLK Student Center, there were 79 Delaware Alpha Chapter inductees this year. They were recognized at the April 29 Spring Athletics Banquet.

DSU’s chapter was chartered in 1999 as the first in Delaware. Over our 27 active years of institutional membership, hundreds of DSU student-athletes have been inducted. Inductees must be junior or senior, letter in varsity sport, and maintain at least a 3.5 GPA. We inducted 79 student-athletes this year. The DSU Athletics Advisors are Dr. Hoff, Kendall Harris, and Kyle Graves as athletic academic advisors.
