The six Points of Juxtaposition artists are a group of HBCU alumni from Del State and the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. The Del State artist are Anthony Burton, ‘76, Alexander Gamble, ‘97, Carl Vincent Williams, ‘74 and Michael Morris, ‘75. The UMES artist are Ernest Satchell and Kenneth Jones.

Each one of the artists present their unique perspectives utilizing their various styles to discuss their African American heritage.

Points of Juxtaposition began in 2008 when this group of African-American artists came together for a dynamic presentation of art. Like the points of a compass, each artist represents his unique perspective of life in America and from an older African consciousness. The artist direct their brushes, styles, camera lenses and digital tools at the social ills, beauty and history of African Americans in this country.Michael Morris' work "Hands Up, Don't Shoot" draws the attention of a Del State student.
