Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s Martin Luther King National Holiday Program, which is normally held in the E&H Theatre on campus as a collaboration between Del State and the Inner City Cultural League of Dover, will be presented as a virtual program at noon on Monday, Jan. 18 on the ICCL’s Facebook Live site (www.facebook.com/ICCLSankofa) and on YouTube (ICCL Sankofa).

The keynote speaker will be the Rev. John Moore, director of philanthropy and engagement for the United Way of Delaware, and who is well-known in Delaware and beyond for his dramatic portrayals of Dr. King.

This year’s program will also feature remarks from U.S. Sen. Chris Coons, U.S. Sen. Tom Carper, Gov. John Carney, Dover Mayor Robin Christiansen and Delaware State University President Tony Allen.

There will also be dance and music performances during the program.
