Solar benches installed outside Jason Library

Thursday, April 25, 2019

With the advent of warmer spring weather, Delaware State University has unveiled the installation of two newly installed solar benches on the pedestrian circle between the William C. Jason Library and the Luna I. Mishoe Science Center.

The Soofa® solar benches contain outlets through which phones, laptops and other electronic devices can be recharged. The benches are made of sustainably harvested materials and built in the United States.

Provided by the University’s Renewable Energy Education Center in part through a grant from Delmarva Power, these solar benches help make the DSU campus more sustainable and innovative.
