The turnout for the Ladies Tea and the Bow Tea Brunch was such a success, getting a photo of everyone was impossible. Nevertheless, they were both nice affairs for all.

Acting DSU President Wilma Mishoe hosted the Ladies Tea, and alumna Dr. Reba Hollingsworth, Class of 1949, gave the senior women her wisdom on how to represent themselves well as they move into the next chapters of their lives.

Provost Tony Allen presided over the Bow Tie Brunch, and Cerron Cade, Delaware Secretary of Labor and DSU Class of 2007 alumnus, spoke to the senior men about some of the lessons he learned at DSU and how he has applied them in his state government leadership post. Mr. Cade is the first DSU graduate to hold a state cabinet post.

The events were not just about speakers and lunch. The ladies competed in a hat making contest, while the men had a bow tie competition and etiquette quiz.
