Held on Oct. 7, more than 400 parents and family members attended the annual event, which began with a program in the Education and Humanities Theatre where Provost Tony Allen brought greetings on behalf of President Dr. Harry Williams.

The DSU Drumline, under the direction of Dr. Harvey Bullock, rocked the stage with drums and fancy footwork, SGA President Lackeeria Lewis and Miss DSU Michaela Rose gave greetings and remarks.

Parent scenarios – real life parent/student issues – were performed by Michele Rush, director of Student Services in the College of Education, Health and Public Policy, and her daughter Courtney Rush, a current DSU student.

In addition, Dr. Reba Ross Hollingsworth, Class of 1949, amazed the audience with her words of wisdom.

The event was directed and emceed by Brenda F. Farmer, executive director of University Events and Ceremonies.
