The Delaware State University Summer Academy is a seven-week on-campus and virtual learning opportunity that provides the chance to fast-track student success by earning 9-12 college credits, get a head start on your journey as a Hornet and ease your transition from high school.
Who can attend?
- Summer Academy is open to all incoming freshmen as well as transfer students with less than 30 credits.
WHAT ARE THE Dates?
- June 28-August 13
5 weeks residential/on-campus learning
2 weeks remote/hybrid learning

Summer Academy program cost: $3,500
Fees: $100 Summer Academy Enrollment Fee and $200 Housing Deposit
WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS TO PAY?
Grants are available for those who qualify.
(please apply for financial aid by filing the 2020-2021 FAFSA at https://fafsa.gov. Include Delaware State University’s school code – 001428).
Note: The 2021-2022 FAFSA must be filed separately for the fall 2021 semester.
Payment plans are also available.
WHAT ARE MY Next Steps?
Step 1: Complete the online registration form and pay the nonrefundable $100 Enrollment Fee to secure your spot in the program by June 1.
Step 2: Pay the nonrefundable $200 Housing Deposit by June 1.
