The Delaware State University Summer Academy is an eight-week* (June 17–August 14) academically rigorous residential program that offers a great opportunity to get a head start on your journey as a Hornet! Summer Academy is open to all in-coming freshmen, including Early College High School graduates, as well as transfer students with less than 30 credits. Summer Academy provides intense academic support and the opportunity to fast-track student success by earning 6-9 college credits and participating in leadership development workshops. *June 17-July 24 will be residential on campus learning and July 25-August 14 will be at home online learning. All Aviation students will reside on campus for the entire eight weeks. –Update: Due to the nature of Coronavirus/COVID-19, the Summer Academy program will be exclusively online for summer 2020. Additionally, we will no longer offer the Private Pilot Certification,Pilot lab, or flight hours for Aviation students. Aviation students may still participate in Summer Academy.

Program Costs and fees
Summer Academy program cost: $3,500 (This amount includes courses, meals, housing and books)
Fees: $100 Summer Academy Enrollment Fee and non refundable $200 Summer Housing Deposit
Step 1: Complete the online registration form and pay the non-refundable $100 Enrollment Fee to secure your spot in the program by May 15, 2020.
Step 2: Pay the non-refundable Housing Deposit ($200) by June 1.
Step 3: Secure funding to pay financial obligations by June 1. Payment plans are available.
Apply for financial aid by June 1.
SUMMER: You may apply for financial aid for the Summer Academy program by completing the 2019-2020 FAFSA at https://fafsa.gov. The Office of Financial Aid will inform you of your financial aid package.
FALL: The 2020-2021 FAFSA must be filed separately for the fall 2020 semester.
