New date! Scholarship Ball rescheduled for May 16

We’re excited to announce that the rescheduled date for the Delaware State University Scholarship Ball is May 16.

We hope you’ll join us for the new date, which provides an opportunity for a grand celebration of student success to close out the academic year and Commencement weekend!

In May, the ball will continue to feature a host of student entertainment and a performance by GRAMMY® Award Winner Avery*Sunshine. Alumna and award-winning music journalist and content creator Jamila Mustafa ‘15 – best known for hosting MTV’s Fresh Out Live, the VMAs, ESPN, BET Networks, and as the creator of SiriusXM’s hit radio show Jamila’s Jams – will be the Mistress of Ceremonies.

If you had already purchased tickets for the January date and are able to attend the ball, your original tickets will be honored. To help us finalize our head count, we ask that you confirm your attendance and intent to use your purchased tickets by 5 p.m. on Monday, February 16, by emailing us at scholarshipball [at] desu.edu.

The Scholarship Ball was sold out and we are reconfirming with ticket and table purchasers their intent to use their ticket(s) for the rescheduled date of May 16. We anticipate that there will be VERY LIMITED AVAILABILITY of tickets for purchase once we have reconciled our head count. If you are interested in purchasing tickets, you can indicate your interest by completing the form at www.desu.edu/BallTicketInterest and we’ll get back to you after we complete the review of our reconfirmed head count.

Thank you for your continued support. Our students remain enthusiastic about the Scholarship Ball and deeply appreciate your commitment to their success!
