Janet and Richard thank you for joining them in celebrating the life of Mrs. Dorothy Walden Tillman and helping them create positive change in our community with this scholarship.

Janet and Richard have established this Memorial Scholarship Fund to honor the life of Janet’s mother and to provide support to students at DSU who come from low-income backgrounds and rural communities. Janet and Richard believe that righting historic wrongs, especially with regard to racism and racial iniquity, are important work and this scholarship is meant to be part of the movement to address those wrongs.
