The Delaware CTR-ACCEL Program

The Delaware CTR-ACCEL ProgramThe ACCEL program provides resources, networking opportunities, pilot funding, research design and bio-statistical support, mentoring assistance, and community engagement opportunities to help develop, implement, and expand clinical and translational research. Ultimately ACCEL serves to promote the innovation, acceleration, and translation of research that will improve health outcomes, enhance future funding success, accelerate health care quality, actively engage community members, and advance research careers.

The Research Capacity Core

Research Capacity CoreThe Research Capacity Core supports DSU’s research infrastructure for biomedical, social, and behavioral research related to health disparities and health equity. The Core offers support to qualitative research and evaluation, as well as to future Pilot Projects and outreach activities in the community. The Core is also comprised of Microscopy and Cell Electrophysiology cores that provide crucial resources to biomedical researchers at DSU and Pilot Project PIs.

The Community Engagement Core

The CED CoreThe overall goal of the Community Engagement & Dissemination Core is to embed a Community First in All Research (CFiAR) approach as a norm across the Interdisciplinary Health Equity Research Center to make research more impactful and responsive to community needs and priorities.

Research Development Services

RDS serves as a concierge between researchers and the rest of the University to ease the process of applying for, acquiring, and managing grants throughout their life cycles.

Office of Sponsored Programs

The Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) is a support structure that seeks to assist faculty members in a variety of ways, including budget development, proposal processing, and pre- and post-award administration of grants and contract. In addition, the OSP is an advocate for a campus environment that is conducive to the research enterprise, and advises university administration on matters of regulatory compliance, internal sponsorship of scholarly activities, and other related issues.
