ACE-320 Private Pilot Certification - 45 hours
Through a partnership with Delaware State University, Sussex Tech is offering a Private Pilot Certification training course. This course, (FAA certified Part 141) is designed to prepare students for the experience of flying and preparation for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) written and oral examinations for the Private Pilot Certification. The curriculum includes basic aerodynamics, elementary aircraft systems, aviation navigation, safety, weather, aviation physiology, and FAA Regulations.
Notes:
1. Students are required to purchase a DSU Private Pilot Kit prior to the start of class at DSU's bookstore or online at mypilotstore.com.
2. Certification provided by the FAA upon successful course completion and passing the FAA exam.

ACE-936 Pharmacy Technician Course
The Pharmacy Technician Training Program has been designed based on the model curriculum created by the American Society of Health -System Pharmacists (ASHP) and is ideal for the career-minded, working adult. The course is designed to prepare students to successfully pass the PTCB Exam one of the two national pharmacy technician board exams and directly enter the field of pharmacy as Certified Paraprofessionals. Our program includes a combination of classroom learning, in-class laboratory activities, audio-visual presentations and hands-on experience within local retail and hospital pharmacy settings. Instruction is provided by experienced, Certified Technicians and proctored by Licensed Pharmacists who currently practice pharmacy professionally.
This 16-week program will prepare you for an exciting career in pharmacy. Subjects covered in the course include pharmacology, pharmacy law, inventory management, prescription translation, dosage calculations, sterile compounding and much more. Classes meet four times a week, for five hours each session. Within the 16-week course students will complete a retail and hospital externship as well as Career Path components that include but are not limited to Resume Writing, Mock Interviewing and Job Preparedness.
This course is a 300 hour course, 200 classroom hours and 100 externship hours. Please note that attendance at a Course Overview Session is required in order to register for this course.

ACE-104 Information & Technology (IT) Essentials
This is a current and comprehensive 64 hour course on configuring, diagnosing, and repairing microcomputers and associated technologies. Topics covered include how computers work, how software and hardware work together, the systems board, understanding and managing memory, floppy disk and hard disk drives, installing and supporting disk drives, troubleshooting fundamentals, supporting I/O devices, and multimedia technology. Completion of this course will assist the student in preparing to pass the A+ certification exams and succeed in the PC repair industry. No electronic experience is assumed or required.

ACE-106 Paralegal Studies
This intensive, nationally acclaimed program is designed for beginning as well as advanced legal workers. Students will be trained to interview witnesses, investigate complex fact patterns, research the law, prepare legal documents, and assist in preparing cases for courtroom litigation. The instruction is practice-oriented and relates to those areas of law in which paralegals are in most demand.

ACE-107 CPR/First Aid
The course is modular and teaches rescuer skills in CPR and relief of choking (foreign-body airway obstruction). It presents information about the American Heart Association Adult Chain of Survival and signs of heart attack, cardiac arrest, stroke and choking in adults. The course also presents information on the American Heart Association pediatric infant and child Chain of Survival, signs of choking in infants and children, how to reduce risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS), and prevention of the most common fatal injuries in infants and children.

This course will discuss 13 habits to improve your life. A Balanced Life Is Nothing More Than a Series of Choices That Move You Toward Better Health. It's time to slow down, regroup and look at your priorities. There was a time when the boundaries between work and home were fairly clear. Today, however, work is likely to invade your personal life, and maintaining work-life balance is no simple task. Still, work-life balance isn't out of reach. At this Quality Service Etiquette for the Business Professional training, participants will focus their efforts on learning tasks that help them to best meet their customers' needs. ACE-111 Strategic Planning and Development
Strategy is a major focus in the quest for higher revenues and profits. ACE-206 Network Security - Main Campus
Network Security will teach students to design and implement security solutions that will reduce the risk of revenue loss and vulnerability. As with existing courses offered by the Cisco Networking Academy, the focus of the course will combine hands-on experience, instructor-led and e-learning for students. This 70-hour course will be an introduction to network security and overall security processes. There will be particular emphasis on:
Security policy design and management, security technologies, products and solutions, firewall and secure router design, installation, configuration and maintenance, AAA implementation using routers and firewalls, VPN implementation using routers and firewalls.

ACE-203 Computer Networking CCNA II
The Cisco CCNA Exploration curriculum provides a comprehensive overview of networking, from fundamentals to advanced applications and services. This course is the second of a four-part series that prepares students for the Cisco CCNA network associated certification exam. CCNA is the industry standard, foundational certification for networking careers. Students need to complete all four courses of CCNA Exploration to fully prepare for the CCNA exam.

PMP* Certification from the Project Management Institute is the industry standard for demonstrating competence and a solid foundation for project management skills. This workshop provides strategies to condense your study efforts and methods you can use for the multiple answer questions that achieve a higher score on the exam.
