George Floyd & Breonna Taylor Scholarship Funds
Building on a generous seed investment by Paul and Pamela Baumbach, Delaware State University will administer these needs-based scholarship funds into a major award that, along with other University initiatives, will both provide opportunities for deserving students and bring sustained visibility to the ongoing issues of law enforcement violence against people of color in America today.
Both the George Floyd Scholarship Fund and Breonna Taylor Scholarship Fund were founded with the dual purpose of providing immediate needs-based support to students at Delaware State University, and shining a light on the ongoing issues of law enforcement violence against communities of color.
To that end, each Scholarship Fund will award one $2,500 scholarship to students who meet the scholarship criteria. Current DSU students who wish to be considered for a Delaware State University Privately Funded Scholarship should review the eligibility criteria and application information.
University supporters are encouraged to consider supporting these Scholarship Funds as your means allow to help us continue this fund into the future, raise awareness for these crucial issues and provide much-needed opportunities for scholarship recipients here at Delaware State University.
Please consider one of the following giving levels to support these Funds, though we are grateful for any support you can provide. All gifts will be split evenly between the George Floyd Scholarship Fund and the Breonna Taylor Scholarship Fund, unless the donor requests otherwise.
