Complete Summer Bridge Acceptance Agreement

  • Complete and return your Summer Bridge Acceptance Agreement to the Office of Admissions.

Register for the Summer Bridge Program

Pay the $200 Housing Deposit

  • Visit Housing Deposit and follow the instructions to pay.  The $200 Housing Deposit is NOT covered by Financial Aid and must be paid in full before you are allowed to live on campus.

Pay the $200 New Student Orientation Fee

  • Visit  New Student Orientation Fee and follow the instructions to pay.  The $200 New Student Orientation Fee is NOT covered by Financial Aid and must be paid in full before you are allowed to live on campus.

Begin Payment Plan
The payment plan is designed for those who wish to pay in segments; however, payments can be made at any time using NelNet.  Everyone is responsible for paying the $3,400.00 in full.  If you receive partial Financial Aid for the summer, you are still responsible for the remaining balance.

  • Payment 1 - April 15, 2018:  $1,000  Deadline Extended
  • Payment 2 - May 1, 2018:  $1,000
  • Payment 3 - June 1, 2018:  $1,000

The Summer Bridge Program total cost is $3,400.00 and includes the New Student Orientation Fee, Housing Deposit, summer classes, summer housing, meals, activities, staffing, and books.

Complete the FAFSA

  • Visit https://fafsa.ed.gov to complete the 2017-2018 FAFSA to be considered for Summer Bridge federal financial aid from June 25, 2018 to July 20, 2018.
  • Visit https://fafsa.ed.gov to complete the 2018-2019 FAFSA to be considered for federal financial aid for the 2018-2019 academic year (August 2018-August 2019).

Make Payment 2
The payment plan is designed for those who wish to pay in segments; however, payments can be made at any time using NelNet.  Everyone is responsible for paying the $3,400.00 in full.  If you receive partial Financial Aid for the summer, you are still responsible for the remaining balance.

  • Payment 2 - May 1, 2018:  $1,000
  • Payment 3 - June 1, 2018:  $1,000
June 1, 2018

Complete Student Health Form

  • Please visit the Office of Student Health Services website at desu.edu/student-health-services to obtain your health forms.  Students with incomplete health forms WILL NOT be allowed to move into the residence hall on June 25, 2018.

Make Final Payment 
The payment plan is designed for those who wish to pay in segments; however, the final payment is due June 1, 2018 please pay using NelNet.  Everyone is responsible for paying the $3,400.00 in full.  If you receive partial Financial Aid for the summer, you are still responsible for the remaining balance.

  • Payment 3 - June 1, 2018:  $1,000
June 3, 2018

Complete the ALEKS

  • You must complete the ALEKS at desu.edu/aleks-math-placement by 11:59 pm on June 3, 2018 in order to receive your math placement for the Summer Bridge Program.  Your math class is based on the highest ALEKS score received on or before June 3, 2018.
June 25, 2018

Submit Final Official High School Transcript to Admissions

  • Submit your final official high school transcripts to Admissions
  • Final official high school transcripts CANNOT be faxed.

Attend the Summer Bridge Project Success Check In

  • All of the preceding steps must be completed before you are eligible to attend.
  • Students should come prepared to move in for the summer on June 25, 2018.
