Young Men in Technology Camp Registration

NOTE: This form is for Young Men in Technology Camp Registration only.  This camp is only open to former Verizon Innovative Learning participants.

Coding for the Community

Students combine their creative energy, problem solving skills, and entrepreneurial spirit to design a product or service that helps the people in their community.  During this program, students learn about the technology that is being used to help tackle some of the most pressing real-world problems today while they build and create versions of their own.  Work as a team or independently as they structure a business plan and portfolio of working web based tools to support and communicate a cause, charity or nonprofit of their choice.

Video Game Development

Students take their first step into the world of computer programming while coding their own video games. The course explores fundamental coding concepts, human-computer interaction, and interactive design. Using real code, students construct a web-based game that can be shared with family and friends. By the end of the course, each student will have gained familiarity with basic JavaScript programming.
