  • A rigorous Ten Weeks Summer Research Institute
  • Opportunities to conduct research
  • Preparation in writing a publishable abstract and a proposal for the McNair Journal
  • Thesis preparation and presentation
  • Submission of a graduate level publishable research paper
  • Effective Theories and Practices for successful research
  • Network support group of faculty and other McNair scholars
  • Ability to participate in presentations, workshops, professional meetings, and conferences

McNair participants are eligible to receive graduate school application fee waivers to apply to a university or universities of his/her choice.
