As Associate Dean for Students, Dr. Leonard Davis is primarily responsible for helping all the students in the college with academic issues ranging from registration, advising, mentoring, and university policies. Dr. Davis has over 30 years of research experience in neuroscience and that contributed to the establishment of a graduate degree in neuroscience, initially funded with an NSF grant. Using his many years of research experience, his focus has been on faculty career development and to significantly upgrade the academic programs to prepare DSU students to successful compete for careers in the global community. His research interest currently is trying to identify the mechanisms underlying Alzheimer’s disease. Dr. Davis is also Chairperson of the Department of Biological Sciences.
