Vanessa Nesbit graduated cum laude with a B.S. in Management Science from Wesley College (Dover, DE). She later graduated cum laude from Goldey-Beacom College (Wilmington, DE) with a Masters of Business Administration. She attained a Master’s Certificate in Applied Project Management from Villanova University and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Business Administration degree from Wilmington University with an interest in developing small business sustainability. Vanessa has over 18 years of office and project management experience, touching a wide variety of industries, both for-profit and not-for-profit, including construction, automotive containment, hospitality, events management, and education. Over the course of her 12 years in higher education, Vanessa has been promoted to positions of increased responsibility and recognized for her strong analytical and critical thinking skills, as well as her creativity, outstanding organizational skills and personal leadership capabilities.
Responsibilities: Grants liaison with the Office of Sponsored Programs; coordinates and maintains data on grant proposal submissions (especially those requesting commitments to support space allocation, tuition remission, faculty release time); advises and coordinates print and online information dissemination and marketing efforts on behalf of the CMNST; manages multiple College-related budgets, as well as overall College payroll data. Consults on grant proposal budget development.
