DSUYD

Delaware State University Young Democrats (DSUYD) is a grassroots organization for Delaware State University students interested in the Democratic Party. DSUYD, serves as an outlet to connect young people with party leaders, elected officials, and candidates with an emphasis on educating and inspiring good citizenship.

One of the goals of DSUYD is to create an organization that can be used by Democratic Party leaders, elected officials and candidates as a grassroots resource.

DSUYD promotes the platforms of the Delaware Young Democrats, the Democratic Party of Delaware, the Democratic National Committee and the Young Democrats of America.

Delaware State University Young Democrats is an affiliate of:

• Democratic Party of Delaware
• Democratic National Committee
• Young Democrats of America

All of the members have the interest of their community at heart and work hard to affect the democratic process. YDA works hard to:

• Elect Democratic Candidates
• Encourage youth involvement in the Democratic Party
• Support the ideals of the Democratic Party at all levels of government
• Instill young people with the values for which the Democratic Party stands
• Provide young people with the skills and experiences they will need to lead our nation

Any enrolled student of DSU can become a member. They must be a registered voter committed to promoting the values of the Democratic Party. Each member must attend one meeting each quarter and volunteer 10 hours per year.
