NQuigley-Machinist

Nicholas J. Quigley, Machinist

Nick began working in his trade in 1977.  After completing related schooling, he enrolled in a State sponsored Apprenticeship Program.  On completion, he received his Journeyman papers. This program consisted of over 8000 hours of job training and additional schooling.   For 24 years prior to coming to DSU, he worked as Shop Foreman in a machine shop.  His responsibilities included fabrication, project management, consultation, design and research and development for companies such as E.I. Dupont and Gore medical.

As a cabinet and furniture maker, he has been able to blend these two trades and do much of the machining of plastics in the cabinet shop allowing for more speed and versatility in fabrication.
