About the Lecture Series

The Dean's Distinguished Lecturer Series occurs several times throughout the academic year. Featuring foremost speakers and researchers, these talks are sponsored by the Office of the Dean of the College of Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Technology and are free and open to the public. A more specialized, technical lecture, geared toward science majors, faculty, professionals (and other interested persons) is generally scheduled to take place during the morning hours on the day of the public, evening talk.

• April 9, 2013, 6 p.m.: Dr. Nicholas J. Petrelli, Surgical Oncologist, and medical director, Helen F. Graham Cancer Center (HFGCC) at Christiana Care Health System. • April 25, 2013, 6 p.m.: Dr. David Pensak, Technology Innovator and entrepreneur; faculty, Univ. of Delaware Business School and Drexel University College of Medicine.   (MLK Jr. Student Center, Parlor C) Topic: “Fear is the biggest impediment to innovation.” 11 a.m. technical lecture, "A logical structure for scientific and technological innovation," in Luna I.
