"Conversation with Dr. S. James Gates, Jr., Theoretical Physicist"

The 2013-2014 season of the College of Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Technology Dean's Distinguished Lecturer Series is again underway. Our first event will take place on Thursday, November 7th, 2013* at 6 p.m.  in the Luna I. Mishoe Science Center, Lecture Hall 223. Our featured guest speaker will be Dr. S. James Gates, Jr., 2013 National Medal of Science awardee, and theoretical physicist (University of Maryland-College Park). Dr. Gates will discuss his work as a theoretical physicist, a former PCAST appointee by President Obama, and his views on science and education. Read more about Dr. Gates.
