New music chair, director of choral activities named
Two Department of Music appointments have been made: Dr. Horace B. Lamar Jr. is the chair of DSU's Department of Music, and Dr. Lloyd Benjamin Mallory Jr. has been named associate professor and director of choral activities.

Professor makes mark in heart disease prevention research
Dr. Samuel A. Besong, chair of the DSU Department of Human Ecology, co-published findings that identify purslane leaves as a means of suppressing bad cholesterol in adults.

Longtime Delaware photographer's works on exhibit

Junior aviation major Devon Sivels is the 2011-12 recipient of a $2,000 donation that Bancroft Construction has committed to annually during the next five years.

The book by Dr. Joe Amoako, an associate professor of English and Foreign Languages, deals with the bridging of traditional African languages with English in Ghana.
