Search Committee Chair
The Delaware State University Board of Trustees has begun its search for its next President.  The official presidential search site, www.desu.edu/president, is your official news source during the search process.  To date, the Presidential Search Committee has met and received its charge from Board of Trustees Chairman John Land. The 13-member Committee serves in an advisory capacity to the Board. It is primarily charged with recommending to the Trustees an unranked list of three to five candidates who, in the Committee's judgment, are well qualified to lead the University as its next president.
On behalf of the Presidential Search Committee, I invite our DSU family, friends and community members to participate in a very important survey.  You can find it on our Presidential Search site referenced above. The input we receive from this survey will be used by the Search Committee and the DSU Board of Trustees. New Special Assistant for Athletics Appointed
DSU acting President Claibourne D. Smith announced the appointment of DeChanta P. Knox, a former MBNA executive, as a Special Assistant to the President for Athletics.

Wintons Career Day Leads DSU Win
DSU QB Vashon Winton rushed for two touchdowns and threw another to help the Hornets break their three-game losing streak with a 26-20 win over Bethune-Cookman. With the victory the Hornets improve to 2-3 (2-1 in MEAC) on the season.
