Dr. Charles B. Nemeroff, Chairperson, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine, University of Miami (Miami, FL) appears as guest speaker for the Dean's Distinguished Lecturer Series.  This is a two-part event. 

A technical lecture will take place at 11 a.m. in Mishoe Science Center North, Lecture Hall 139. The topic for the 11 a.m. seminar is "Neurobiological Consequences of Child Abuse and Neglect."

The 6 p.m. public lecture will take place in the Longwood Auditorium of the Bank of America Building. The 6 p.m. public lecture is entitled, "Recognition and Treatment of Depression: Reducing Suicide and Misery in Difficult Times."
