Tommie Smith Discussion

Tommie Smith, former U.S. Olympian and author of Silent Gesture, will discuss the 1968 Olympics and the Black Power Movement in America. The event will take place in the Education and Humanities Building, Theater. 

The Life and Times of the Miseducated Negro - Stage Play

The Life and Times of the Miseducated Negro, a Poetic stage play by Malik Amari, will take place in the Education and Humanities Building, Theater. General admission is $10 per person.   

Founders Day 2015: The Evolution of the Delaware State University Band and Drum Major

Founders Day 2015—The Evolution of the DSU Band and Drum Major featuring the 125th Anniversary of the 2nd Morrill Act will be held on Thursday, February 19 from 11 - 11:50 a.m. in the Theater, Education and Humanities Building. A mini production featuring DSU faculty, staff, alumni and community members will celebrate Founder’s Day with acting, dance, and sensational music. Former DSU drum majors and band directors will also be featured.  

This event is FREE and open to the public.

The Universal African Dance Company Performance

The Universal African Dance Company of Camden, New Jersey will perform in the Martin Luther King Jr. Student Center lobby.

Rasheed Cromwell Discussion

Rasheed Cromwell of the Harbor Institute will discuss Black Greek Letter Organizations and Their Role in Shaping African American History. The event will take place in the Martin Luther King Jr. Student Center, 2nd floor Parlors. 

Ilyasah Shabazz Discussion and Book Signing

Ilyasah Shabazz, the Daughter of Malcolm X, will be at DSU to discuss her father and the books that she has written about his life and hers. 

The event will take place in the Education and Humanities Theater (book signing to follow).
