The Civil Rights Movement in Delaware: Its History - Its Legacy

Join Civil Rights Movement participants and historians in this two-day symposium assessing Delaware's place in and contributions to the Civil Rights Movement fifty years after the passage of the 1964 Civil Rights Act. The program is a collaboration between Delaware State University and the Delaware Historical Society's Center for African American Heritage. 

Civil Discourse in American Politics Discussion

On Tuesday, October 7, the William P. Frank Foundation in conjunction with the Delaware State University Law Studies Program, presents Civil Discourse In American Politics featuring speeches by James Florio, former governor of New Jersey, and Michael Castle, former governor and congressman of Delaware. A Question-Answer Session will follow the speeches and a reception will follow the event, which will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Bank of America Building, Room 113. Admission is free and open to the public.
