Richard F. Bieker
 

Dr. Richard F. Bieker is Professor of Economics at Delaware State University. He teaches in the area of Economics. He earned his PhD in Agricultural Economics from the University of Kentucky and is a Certified Financial Planner.  In addition to teaching at Delaware State University he has served as a  faculty member or visiting scholar at a number of other institutions in the U.S, including the University of Delaware, Purdue University,  the University of Michigan and Central Michigan University.   He also served as a visiting   faculty member at Slovenská Poľnohospodárska Univerzita (SPU) v Nitre.

Dr. Bieker is the author or co-author of over 75 journal articles, technical monographs and books.  His works have appeared in a variety of  refereed journals including the Social Science Quarterly, American Journal of Agricultural Economics, Growth and Change, Financial Counseling and Planning, Journal of Education for Business, Northeastern Journal of Agricultural and Resource Economics, Southwestern Economic Review,  Journal of Economics and Finance, and others.  His current research focuses on asset allocation in defined contribution pension plans, analysis of factors affecting economic growth in selected Eastern European countries and the impact of  accreditation on the quality and cost of higher education.
